- On June 21, Liam Byrne, 24, launched a wingsuit flight from Gitschen mountain at about 2,400 metres and crashed into a rocky outcrop near 2,100 metres after deviating from his planned route.
- The Uri Cantonal Police and the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland have opened a joint investigation and are appealing for witnesses to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
