Overview

• On Monday at around 4:45 pm, an unidentified passenger was assaulted aboard a Greater Anglia service traveling from Norwich to Ipswich.
• British Transport Police officers responded at Ipswich railway station and launched an investigation into the onboard altercation.
• The assault caused delays on services between Norwich and London Liverpool Street before the scene was cleared later that evening.
• Greater Anglia confirmed that train operations on the Norwich–Ipswich–London route have since returned to their normal schedule.
