British Tourist Found Dead on Skiathos Sun Lounger

The Foreign Office is supporting his family after a series of British tourist fatalities in Greece.

  • A lifeguard alerted emergency services and a doctor from a nearby health centre spent around 40 minutes attempting resuscitation.
  • A Foreign Office spokesperson said they were supporting the man’s family and had been in contact with local authorities.
  • Earlier this month a 68-year-old British man drowned after going for a swim off Lindos in Rhodes on June 12.
  • Last July a 33-year-old Briton died while diving at the Epanomi Shipwreck near Thessaloniki after encountering rough sea conditions.
