British Tourist Alleges Rape by Instagram Acquaintance in Delhi Hotel

Two men have been arrested in connection with the alleged assault, including charges of rape and molestation, as police investigate the case.

A British woman accused a man she befriended on Instagram of raping her at a hotel in Delhi's Mahipalpur area after she traveled to meet him.
The alleged perpetrator, Kailash, reportedly invited the woman to Delhi after claiming he could not travel to meet her in Goa, where she was vacationing.
The woman also accused a second man, Wasim, of molesting her in the hotel lift under the pretense of helping her after the assault.
Delhi Police have arrested both suspects, informed the British High Commission, and launched an investigation into the incident.
