Kwan wore a wig, fake facial hair, and a medical mask to avoid recognition during the attack on Patrick O'Hara, aged 72, in Newcastle, England.
The motive behind Kwan's actions was reportedly linked to his mother's will, which stated that her partner would inherit her home if he survived her.
After receiving the injection, O'Hara developed necrotizing fasciitis, a severe flesh-eating bacterial infection, resulting in life-changing injuries and multiple surgeries.
Police discovered extensive evidence of Kwan's planning, including fake documents, a 'poisoner's handbook,' and spyware on his mother's computer.
