Overview

  • The 5.7-kilometre extension will run from VCC–Clark Station to Arbutus Street beneath Vancouver’s West Side.
  • A 700-metre elevated track section transitions into the tunnel under Broadway before reaching the new stations.
  • Upon opening, the line will carry three times the capacity of the existing 99-B rapid bus service.
  • Project costs have risen slightly above early forecasts to $2.95 billion, though small overruns remain under control.
  • Construction stays on schedule for fall 2027, and this extension combined with the Expo Line’s Langley project will boost SkyTrain capacity by over 27 percent.
