British Businessman Charged with Murder of Indonesian Woman in Hong Kong

Jamie Tzewee Chapman remains in custody after a court hearing regarding the death of Mevi Novitasari at a Hong Kong waterfall.

Jamie Tzewee Chapman, a 34-year-old British national, has been charged with the murder of Indonesian domestic worker Mevi Novitasari in Hong Kong.
Chapman and his wife were arrested upon returning from mainland China, where they had fled following the incident.
The victim's body was discovered in a pool beneath a waterfall in Waterfall Bay Park, with evidence of head injuries and drowning.
Chapman's wife was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but has been released on bail pending further investigation.
The case has been adjourned to January to allow for additional investigation, with Chapman remaining in custody until then.
