Overview

  • Premium Plus cardholders can earn a 500-point sign-up bonus and accrue up to 2,500 tier points by spending £25,000 on their Amex between June 18, 2025, and February 1, 2026.
  • Since April 1 the British Airways Club awards tier points based on net spend rather than distance flown, granting one point per £1 spent on flights, holidays and extras.
  • The Amex offer breaks down into 750 tier points for £15,000 of spend, another 750 for £20,000 total and 1,000 more for £25,000.
  • BA’s new status requirements now stand at 3,500 tier points for Bronze, 7,500 for Silver and 20,000 for Gold, reflecting significantly higher spend thresholds.
  • British Airways has promised further Amex tier-point opportunities from April 2026 even as frequent flyers voice concerns over steep spending targets and companion voucher impacts.
