BritBox Australia Overhauls Content Lineup, Raises Subscription Fees
Three BBC-curated channels with UK premieres prompt members to lock in current annual rates before July 30

- The service has introduced three linear channels—BBC First for drama, BBC Entertain for comedy and lifestyle, and BBC Select for documentaries—alongside expanded Drama, Comedy, Documentary and Light Entertainment collections.
- Subscription rates will increase from $9.99 to $13.99 per month and from $99.99 to $139.99 per year effective July 31, 2025.
- Existing subscribers can secure the existing $99.99 annual rate until July 30, 2025, and monthly users will maintain current pricing until their next billing date on or after the fee change.
- June’s lineup features Australian premieres of Agatha Christie’s Towards Zero, Outrageous, Fear and Death Valley, plus new seasons of Shetland S9, The Bay S5 and Beyond Paradise S3.
- With about 500,000 Australian subscribers and fastest-growing streaming status, BritBox is working to fast-track delayed UK titles despite ongoing negotiation and resourcing challenges.
