Overview
- Police say a Brink’s armed guard leaving a business in the 0–100 block of South State Street around 11:19 a.m. fired during an attempted robbery outside the Saks Off 5th entrance.
- The wounded suspect fled into the Washington Blue Line station, where officers found him with stolen cash before transporting him to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
