Overview
- Brighton welcome Lithuanian champions Kauno Žalgiris to the Amex Stadium on Thursday 15 October 2026 with an 8:00pm kick-off in the Europa Conference League League Phase.
- Manager Fabian Hürzeler confirmed Pascal Struijk is ruled out and listed several other absentees or doubts, including Evan Ferguson, Stéfanos Tzímas, Kaoru Mitoma, Yankuba Minteh, Mats Wieffer and Femi Azeez, which forces likely rotation ahead of Sunday’s derby with Crystal Palace.
- Brighton arrive in strong form and are widely seen as heavy favourites after a multi-match winning run and qualification via a 4-0 aggregate play-off win over Tromsø.
- Kauno Žalgiris make their first main-stage appearance in a UEFA competition after dropping from Champions League and Europa League qualifying and arrive on a positive domestic run as Lithuanian champions.
- Pre-match coverage has given conflicting broadcast details in the UK and abroad, leaving viewers with differing guidance about whether the game is on TNT Sports/Paramount+ or HBO Max/Sky, and a comfortable Brighton win would boost their chances of progressing toward a first major European trophy.
