- Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office says an individual in custody was assaulted around 9:55 p.m. Thursday inside a housing unit at the Dedham jail.
- Officers intervened immediately, subdued another incarcerated person, and recovered a makeshift blunt instrument, according to the sheriff’s statement.
- Walshe was conscious and alert, taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for treatment, and returned to the jail overnight.
