Brian Tyree Henry Cast in Pharrell Williams-Michel Gondry's New Musical

The film, inspired by Pharrell Williams' childhood, features a star-studded cast and is set in 1977 Virginia Beach.

Brian Tyree Henry joins Kelvin Harrison Jr., Halle Bailey, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph in a coming-of-age musical produced by Universal.
The untitled project draws inspiration from Williams' childhood neighborhood, Atlantis Apartments, and is directed by Michel Gondry.
Henry, known for his roles in 'Causeway' and 'Atlanta', adds significant star power to the ensemble cast.
The screenplay is penned by Martin Hynes and Steven Levenson, with production oversight from Universal's Ryan Jones and Christine Sun.
Pharrell Williams also has another autobiographical film, 'Piece by Piece', set to release later this year.
