Brian Jungen Wins 2025 Audain Prize for the Visual Arts

  • Audain Foundation chair Michael Audain called the impact of Jungen’s work undeniable.
  • The prize is presented by the Audain Art Museum in Whistler, which will show works by recipients, including Jungen, in a November exhibition.
  • Five Audain Travel Awards of $7,500 each were also presented to support career-enriching experiences for art students.
  • Jungen’s bronze Couch Monster is installed outside the Art Gallery of Ontario and was the last piece completed in his Okanagan studio before 2021 wildfires destroyed the property.
