Brian Bohannon Resigns as Kennesaw State Football Coach

Bohannon steps down after a challenging first season in FBS, ending a decade-long tenure with the Owls.

Brian Bohannon, who founded Kennesaw State's football program in 2015, resigned as head coach following a 1-8 start in their inaugural FBS season.
The Owls’ only win this season was a notable upset against previously undefeated Liberty, ending their 18-game winning streak.
Chandler Burks, the co-offensive coordinator and former Kennesaw State quarterback, will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
Bohannon led the Owls to significant success at the FCS level, achieving a 72-38 record, three Big South Conference titles, and four playoff appearances.
Kennesaw State will conduct a national search for a new head coach as they continue their transition in Conference USA.
