Brewers Trade for Reliever Grant Anderson from Rangers

Milwaukee acquires right-hander in exchange for minor-league pitcher Mason Molina, reshaping their bullpen options.

The Milwaukee Brewers traded minor-league left-hander Mason Molina to the Texas Rangers for right-handed reliever Grant Anderson.
Grant Anderson, 27, struggled in the MLB during 2024 with an 8.10 ERA over 23 appearances but performed significantly better at Triple-A Round Rock with a 2.93 ERA in 26 games.
Anderson was designated for assignment earlier in the week by the Rangers to make room for free-agent signee Joc Pederson.
Mason Molina, 21, was a seventh-round pick by the Brewers in 2024 and has shown early promise in Class-A ball with five shutout innings across two starts.
To accommodate Anderson on their 40-man roster, the Brewers designated left-handed reliever Tyler Jay for assignment, who appeared in five MLB games in 2024.
