Overview

  • On July 31, Milwaukee finalized a deal with Arizona to acquire reliever Shelby Miller for a third stint and assume Jordan Montgomery’s contract in exchange for cash or a player to be named later.
  • Miller, sidelined since July 5 by an elbow strain, posted a 1.98 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 10 saves over 37 relief appearances before the injury and is nearing activation.
  • Montgomery underwent Tommy John surgery early in the season and will miss the remainder of 2025 as he heads into free agency.
