Overview

• The exhibition Giorgio Armani: Milano con Amore opens at the Pinacoteca di Brera on September 24 and runs through January 11, 2026.
• Curators installed 133 archival womenswear and menswear ensembles in visual consonance with works by Mantegna, Raphael, Piero della Francesca and Hayez, including pieces worn by Mia Martini, Sharon Stone, Juliette Binoche and Katie Holmes.
• Pinacoteca director Angelo Crespi says Armani initially hesitated to exhibit, not feeling worthy of standing beside the masters, a stance he described as grounded in humility and rigor.
• The project coincides with the maison’s 50th anniversary and introduces Armani/Archivio, a digital platform cataloging five decades of creations with selected historic pieces to be reissued in chosen boutiques.
