Brent Ingraham Sworn In as Army’s Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Chief
The veteran Pentagon acquisition official inherits a $170 billion portfolio spanning more than 550 programs.
Overview
- The Army swore in Ingraham on Monday following a 51–47 Senate confirmation vote last week after his nomination by President Donald Trump.
- As ASA(ALT), he serves as the Army Acquisition Executive, Senior Procurement Executive, science advisor to the Secretary of the Army, and senior research and development official with principal responsibility for logistics.
- Jesse Tolleson, who had been acting in the role while serving as deputy, returns to his position as Ingraham’s deputy.
- Ingraham previously performed the duties of the deputy under secretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment and earlier led platform and weapon portfolio management, and he has emphasized agile, adaptable requirements vetted for cost, schedule and performance risk.
- The Senate also confirmed Michael Obadal as undersecretary of the Army, and he stated he would recuse from matters involving his former employer Anduril under an ethics plan given his retained equity.
