Bremen Mourns Football Legend Dieter Burdenski

Dieter Burdenski, a celebrated goalkeeper for Werder Bremen, passed away on October 9 at the age of 73.
The memorial service was held at the concert hall 'Die Glocke' in Bremen, attended by family, friends, and former teammates.
Burdenski was remembered as a 'people catcher' and a remarkable human being by Werder Bremen's supervisory board chairman, Hubertus Hess-Grunewald.
With 444 Bundesliga appearances and 582 total games for Werder Bremen, Burdenski holds the record for the most matches played for the club.
Burdenski also represented Germany in the 1978 World Cup and earned 12 caps for the national team.
