Overview
- The crash occurred around 10:25 a.m. Saturday on the A27 near Bremen’s Stadtwaldsee in the direction of Hanover.
- The small van, used for supply runs between fire and rescue stations, skidded on a snow- and ice-covered roadway and came to rest on its side.
- Feuerwehr Bremen reported that the driver was unhurt.
- Personnel from Fire and Rescue Station 7 recovered the heavily damaged vehicle and it was towed to Station 1.
- Bremen’s fire department and the German Weather Service advised people to stay home if possible and to drive cautiously as wintry conditions led to numerous accidents in the region.
