Overview

  • Frida and OddFellows have partnered to produce a limited-edition breast milk–flavored ice cream made with bovine colostrum and added nutrients to mimic human milk’s taste and appearance.
  • Pints went on sale August 5 for $12.99 each on Frida’s website, with customers limited to one pint per order and insulated dry-ice shipping to the contiguous United States.
  • The flavor is available at an OddFellows pop-up in Dumbo, Brooklyn through August 10, with free scoops offered from noon to 1 p.m. on August 6 and August 10 while supplies last.
  • The recipe incorporates ingredients enriched with Omega-3s, lactose, calcium, iron, vitamins B and D, zinc, honey syrup and salted caramel flavoring for a sweet, slightly salty profile and a yellow colostrum tinge.
  • The release builds on the initial March launch that went viral and taps into broader social media interest in unconventional food trends during National Breastfeeding Awareness Month.
