- In São José dos Campos, brioche ranged from R$2.50 to R$16.00, a 540% difference that marked the widest spread found for a single product.
- Across cities, filtered coffee showed a 151% swing and pão de queijo 118%, with São Paulo’s east and west zones also posting different averages for French bread.
- In Campinas, the price of French bread ranged from R$21.00 to R$25.40 per kilo, a R$4.40 gap equal to a 20.95% variation across six bakeries.
- Procon-SP reiterates that prices must be clearly displayed, the lower value prevails when shelf and checkout differ, French bread is sold by weight, card purchases cannot require a minimum, and complaints can be filed on its website.
