- Caixa has begun issuing digital vouchers, with free 13 kg refills available from November 24 at participating outlets in ten capitals; Rio de Janeiro enters the program in January 2026.
- The initial phase serves about 1 million households across Salvador, Fortaleza, Goiânia, Belo Horizonte, Belém, Recife, Teresina, Natal, Porto Alegre and São Paulo.
- The Ministry of Development and Social Assistance selects recipients from CadÚnico based on per‑capita income up to half the minimum wage and an updated registration, with priority for Bolsa Família families.
- Redemption occurs directly at accredited resellers via an electronic check using a Bolsa Família chip card and PIN, a Caixa debit card and PIN, or CPF plus a one‑time code sent to the registered phone.
- Households of 2–3 people are entitled to four refills per year with three‑month voucher validity, while families of four or more get six per year with two‑month validity, and resellers must meet ANP, Receita and Caixa requirements to participate.
