Brazilian Taste Recalls 4,120 Pounds of Saint Coxinha Croquettes for Undeclared Sesame

USDA says the allergen issue was flagged after FDA traced sesame in shared breadcrumbs used at the South Carolina facility.

Overview

  • The recall covers Saint Coxinha XL chicken (17.63 oz), chicken (15.8 oz), and ground beef risole (13.7 oz) bags bearing Est. P-45640 with best-by dates extending into 2026.
  • Roughly 4,120 pounds were produced March 4–Aug. 19, 2025 for the chicken items and on June 2, 2025 for the beef item.
  • Shipments went to retailers in Connecticut, Georgia, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas, with additional sales nationwide online.
  • FSIS designated the action a Class I recall; no confirmed allergic reactions have been reported, and consumers should return or discard any packages they have.
  • FSIS will post a full retail distribution list when available, and consumers can contact Brazilian Taste manager Barbara Bueno or the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline for guidance.
