Brazilian President Lula Refuses Putin Invitation, Amid Talks On Ukraine Peace

Brazil's president, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, declined to go to St Petersburg.
Brazil, alongside India, Indonesia, and China, is available to discuss peace with Moscow and Kyiv.
The refusal comes after a row between Lula and Ukraine's Zelensky at the G7 summit in Japan.
Putin told Brazilian President Lula that Russia is open to dialogue over Ukraine.
Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said Russia cannot trust any truce with Ukraine and would have to destroy the "very nature" of power in Kyiv.
