Brazil Unveils COP30 Pavilion Programs in Belém, Detailing 628 Events Across Blue and Green Zones

Detailed daily schedules will follow as federal and Pará teams finalize moderators, panelists and room assignments.

Overview

  • The Environment Ministry, working with the Casa Civil, announced 286 sessions for the Pavilhões Brasil across four auditoriums in the UN-managed Blue Zone and host-run Green Zone, running daily from 10:00 to 19:00 with 60-minute caps.
  • In the Blue Zone, discussions will center on implementing Brazil’s Paris Agreement NDC in an international context, while the Green Zone will focus on domestic priorities such as the Plano Clima and the 30 objectives of the Agenda de Ação.
  • Pará’s environment secretariat (Semas) selected 342 activities for the Pavilhão Pará in the Green Zone, prioritizing technical quality and policy relevance and drawing participants from governments, business, NGOs, Indigenous and quilombola communities, youth, academia and civil society.
  • Semas set November 1 to publish the full Pavilhão Pará schedule, and the federal ministry said detailed speaker lineups and room assignments for the Pavilhões Brasil will be posted soon on official channels.
  • COP30 is scheduled for November 10–21 at Belém’s Parque da Cidade, where the Blue Zone build is progressing toward a planned end-of-October handover and accommodations are confirmed for 132 participating countries with 49 more negotiating stays.
