Overview
- January benefits will be paid from 26 January to 6 February for minimum-wage recipients and from 2 to 6 February for those above the minimum, with dates set by the final digit of the benefit card.
- The ceiling increases from R$ 8,157.40 in 2025 to R$ 8,475.55 in 2026 after IBGE confirmed a 3.9% INPC.
- Around 35 million people receive INSS payments, and roughly 62.5% get the national minimum, which rose to R$ 1,618.
- INSS contribution brackets were updated in line with the new ceiling, with progressive rates up to 14% in the top band.
- Updated statements with individual amounts will be available on the Meu INSS portal and app, with phone support via 135 for those without internet access.
