Brazil Pays October Bolsa Família to NIS‑3 Beneficiaries as Program Reaches 18.91 Million

  • Beneficiaries in 39 municipalities were paid early on October 20 regardless of NIS due to drought, heavy rains or Indigenous vulnerability, including 22 cities in Acre and towns in Amazonas, Paraná, Piauí, Roraima and Sergipe.
  • Beyond the R$600 minimum, supplements include R$150 per child up to 6, R$50 per child aged 7–18, R$50 for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, and the Nutriz benefit of six R$50 installments for infants up to six months.
  • About 1.89 million families are under the transitional 'rule of protection,' with 211,466 entering in October and, for new entrants since June, a maximum duration reduced to one year.
