- The bid was presented in person by Brazil's sports minister André Fufuca and the president of the country's soccer body, Ednaldo Rodrigues, to FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
- Brazil's bid is part of the government's policy aimed at stimulating greater women's participation in soccer. The country has previously hosted the men's World Cup twice, in 1950 and 2014.
- Besides Brazil, FIFA received submissions from South Africa and joint expressions of interest from Belgium, Netherlands and Germany, and the United States and Mexico.
- The decision on the host country for the 2027 Women's World Cup will be made through public voting by the FIFA Congress on May 17, 2024.
