Brazil Launches Weekend INSS Mutirão to Deliver 18,868 Medical Exams at 92 Agencies

Officials aim to cut waiting lists by opening nearly 19,000 slots in a concentrated two-day operation.

Overview

  • The two-day drive spans 22 states and the Federal District, excluding Amapá, Goiás, Paraíba, Roraima and Sergipe.
  • More than 13,000 appointments are already booked, with roughly 6,000 vacancies still available for this weekend.
  • Scheduling and rescheduling can be done via the 135 call center (Mon–Sat, 7 a.m.–10 p.m.) or through the Meu INSS website or app.
  • Service will be offered in person or remotely through Perícia Conectada, which the ministry says follows the same confidentiality and autonomy standards as on-site exams.
  • State allocations include 1,781 slots in Bahia, 701 in Piauí, 738 in Pará, and 518 in the Federal District focused on BPC and temporary incapacity cases at Taguatinga and Planaltina.
