Brazil Confirms October Bolsa Família Payouts and INSS Timeline

Overview

• Bolsa Família for October will be paid from Oct. 20 to 31, starting with NIS final 1 and ending with NIS final 0.
• INSS benefits for October are deposited from Oct. 27 to Nov. 7, with those up to one minimum wage paid first and benefits above the floor starting Nov. 3.
• The program guarantees at least R$600 per family, with add-ons of R$150 per child up to 6 and R$50 for pregnant or nursing mothers and for dependents 7–18; a portion of families also receives the auxílio-gás in October, calculated from the ANP six-month average.
• Payments are processed by Caixa and can be accessed via Caixa Tem and the Bolsa Família app or withdrawn at ATMs, lottery outlets and correspondents; service lines include MDS 121, Caixa 111 and INSS 135.
• In municipalities under an official emergency, Bolsa Família is advanced to the first day of the schedule, while eligibility continues to hinge on CadÚnico registration and per-capita income up to R$218 with health and school conditionalities.
