Brazil Confirms 2026 PIS/PASEP, Bolsa Família and INSS Payment Calendars

Staggered schedules manage cash flow, with abono verification opening in early February.

Overview

  • The PIS/PASEP abono in 2026 pays up to R$ 1,621, with deposits released by birth month on the 15th or next business day starting in mid-February, and official consultation opens on 5 February.
  • About 26.9 million workers qualify for the abono, which is calculated pro rata on months worked in 2024 and requires at least five years of registration, income within the program limit, and correct RAIS/eSocial reporting.
  • PIS will be paid by Caixa, including via Caixa Tem, and PASEP by Banco do Brasil, with authorized checks available through the Carteira de Trabalho Digital app, Gov.br, phone 158, and labor superintendencies.
  • Bolsa Família’s January cycle runs 19–30 January by final NIS digit, with a minimum monthly benefit of R$ 600 per family and variable supplements, and some Monday batches available digitally on the prior Saturday.
  • INSS January payments for benefits up to one minimum wage run 26–30 January and 2–6 February by final benefit digit, while amounts above the minimum are paid 2–6 February on a separate schedule.
