  • Rio’s Alerta Rio signaled chances of moderate to heavy showers with lightning, strong winds and isolated hail from Sunday into Monday, followed by lingering rain and gusty conditions on Tuesday.
  • The National Institute of Meteorology issued storm alerts for Mato Grosso earlier in the period and placed all of Tocantins under yellow and orange advisories through 10:00 a.m. Monday, forecasting 20–60 mm per hour and winds up to 60 km/h.
  • Bahia recorded more than 90,000 lightning strikes in 48 hours, with 344 municipalities under orange or red alerts and at least three emergency declarations as floods, road damage and rescues were reported.
  • Santa Catarina’s Civil Defense flagged a moderate to high risk of roof damage, power network issues, downed trees and localized flooding over the weekend as storms spread from the West toward other regions.
