Braves and Reds Reveal NASCAR-Style Uniforms Ahead of Speedway Classic

Racing-inspired jerseys, caps and helmets are now on sale across MLB’s retail and digital channels

The Braves and Reds will play in the Speedway Classic on Aug. 2.

Overview

  • The special Nike jerseys feature custom racecar-style numbers with bold outlines, shadowing and slanted fonts to evoke forward motion on the field.
  • New Era caps showcase the Braves’ flame-trimmed visors and the Reds’ checkered-flag designs, complemented by Rawlings helmets modeled after NASCAR headgear.
  • MLB has confirmed FOX will broadcast the Aug. 2 game live at 7:15 p.m. ET, with streaming available on the FOX Sports app and FOXSports.com.
  • Attendees will enjoy a 220,000-square-foot fan zone with concerts by Tim McGraw, Pitbull and Jake Owen plus interactive exhibits and regional food offerings.
  • Set for Aug. 2 at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, the matchup will be the first regular-season MLB game at a NASCAR track and the first AL–NL contest held in the state.
