Brand-Commissioned Poll Finds Most Britons Turning to AI Over Gut Instincts for Major Decisions

Nearly half say they later regretted sidelining intuition, with low awareness of the gut–brain connection reported.

Overview

  • An online OnePoll survey of 2,000 UK adults, released Oct. 7, reports seven in 10 seek guidance from AI, Google and social media for significant life choices.
  • Thirty-six percent say technology steers their biggest decisions multiple times each month, while 90% use it for everyday choices and 22% rely on it multiple times daily.
  • Respondents most often consult tech for health advice (54%), followed by major financial decisions (29%) and career moves (21%).
  • Most participants rate gut health as important (96%), yet 30% feel unsure how to improve it and 65% had not heard of the gut–brain connection.
  • Arla Cultura commissioned the research to promote a new gut-health dairy range and a London “Gut Chats” effort featuring comedian Rachel Fairburn.
