• Searchlight Pictures has confirmed Bradley Cooper’s third directorial feature as the Closing Night film of the 63rd New York Film Festival, marking his return after Maestro.
• The dramedy will debut on October 10 at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, with advance ticket access for Film at Lincoln Center members opening September 18.
• Cooper co-wrote the screenplay with Will Arnett and Mark Chappell, produces it through his Lea Pictures banner and also appears onscreen alongside Arnett and Laura Dern.
• Inspired by British comedian John Bishop’s true story, the comedy of remarriage follows a separated couple as Alex pursues stand-up comedy in Manhattan’s West Village.
• The ensemble cast includes Andra Day, Christine Ebersole, Ciarán Hinds, Sean Hayes, Peyton Manning and Amy Sedaris, plus real-life New York stand-up performers to capture the city’s comedy scene.
