Bradley Cooper Captures Leonard Bernstein in Netflix's 'Maestro'

Bradley Cooper stars as Leonard Bernstein in the Netflix drama 'Maestro', which is both a biopic and a study of Bernstein's varied roles in life.
Cooper spent six years studying Bernstein and worked with conducting consultant Yannick Nézet-Séguin to accurately portray Bernstein's conducting style.
The film includes a sequence where Bernstein conducts Mahler’s second symphony, “Resurrection,” at Ely Cathedral, recreating an iconic live recording from Bernstein’s career.
Cooper's performance captures the physicality and passion of Bernstein's conducting style, and the film also explores Bernstein's personal life, including his marriage to Felicia Montealegre.
The film, which Cooper also directed and co-wrote, will be in limited release from Nov. 22 and streaming from Dec. 20.
