Brad Keselowski Targets Daytona 500 Return as RFK Reports Rehab on Track

A Feb. 5 medical test at Charlotte will determine his clearance after a December femur fracture.

Overview

  • RFK president Chip Bowers says Keselowski is meeting recovery milestones on schedule, including simulator sessions and intensive daily rehab.
  • Keselowski will skip the Feb. 1 Clash at Bowman Gray, with Corey LaJoie driving the No. 6 for the exhibition and remaining on standby for Daytona.
  • Keselowski posted that his leg is “starting to work” and that he is “looking really good” for Daytona as he continues 6–8 hours of rehab daily.
  • Doctors diagnosed a clean right-femur break from a December ski-trip fall, performed emergency surgery in Boone, N.C., and outlined an eight-week path back that also addresses nerve recovery.
  • RFK plans to field four cars for the Daytona 500, adding LaJoie to the regular Nos. 6, 17 and 60 entries to bolster its superspeedway strategy.
