Brad Ausmus Joins Yankees as New Bench Coach

Former Tigers and Angels manager replaces Carlos Mendoza, who left to manage the Mets.

Brad Ausmus, former manager of the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Angels, has been hired by the New York Yankees as their new bench coach.
Ausmus replaces Carlos Mendoza, who left the Yankees to manage the New York Mets.
This will be Ausmus's third stint as a bench coach, having previously served in this role for the Oakland Athletics in 2022.
Ausmus began his professional career with the Yankees organization after being selected in the 48th round of the 1987 amateur draft.
As a manager, Ausmus has a 386-422 record.
