BPSSC Announces 1,799 Bihar Police SI Vacancies as Applications Open Sept. 26

The notice sets a multi-stage, negative-marking exam under defined eligibility with applications restricted to the BPSSC portal.

Overview

  • Online applications will be accepted from September 26 to October 26, 2025 exclusively at bpssc.bihar.gov.in.
  • Applicants must be Indian citizens with graduation completed by August 1, 2025, with age limits set as of that date: unreserved men 20–37, unreserved women and OBC/EBC 20–40, SC/ST 20–42.
  • The preliminary test is an MCQ exam of 100 questions for 200 marks over two hours, and candidates need at least 30% to qualify for the main exam.
  • The main exam has two papers: General Hindi is qualifying only (100 questions, 200 marks, two hours, 30% minimum) and General Studies determines merit (100 questions, 200 marks, two hours).
  • Negative marking of 0.2 marks per incorrect answer applies in both written stages, a Physical Eligibility/Efficiency Test is compulsory, and exam dates will be announced later.
