Overview
- Online applications will be accepted from September 26 to October 26, 2025 on bpssc.bihar.gov.in, including registration, document upload, fee payment, and downloading a confirmation page.
- The selection sequence comprises a Preliminary exam, a Main exam, and a Physical Eligibility/Efficiency Test, followed by document verification and a medical examination.
- The Preliminary exam features 100 multiple‑choice questions for 200 marks over two hours with 0.2 marks deducted per wrong answer, and a minimum 30% score required to qualify for the Main exam.
- The Main exam has two papers: General Hindi (100 questions, 200 marks, two hours) is qualifying at 30% and not counted for merit, while the General Studies paper (100 questions, 200 marks, two hours) covers GS, Science, Civics, History, Geography, Mathematics, and Mental Ability with the same negative marking.
- Age limits as of August 1, 2025 are 20–37 years for unreserved men, 20–40 for unreserved women and for Backward/Extremely Backward Classes, and 20–42 for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates.
