• The preliminary exam is scheduled to take place on December 13 and 14, 2024, as confirmed by the commission, dismissing rumors of a postponement.
• The exam will fill 2,027 vacancies across various Bihar government departments, an increase from the initially announced 1,957 openings.
• The preliminary exam will consist of a two-hour objective test carrying a maximum of 150 marks, with negative marking for incorrect answers.
• Approximately 7-8 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the exam, making it one of the largest recruitment drives by BPSC to date.
