Boynton Beach Double Homicide Linked to $5 Million Fraud Case

The suspected shooter died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot after a brief police pursuit.

Overview

  • Police identified the victims as brothers Charles Geragi, 67, and Richard Geragi, 72, found fatally shot inside an office at All-American Farms around 4 p.m. on Jan. 12.
  • Investigators named 39-year-old Nesar Dawla of West Palm Beach as the suspect, who fled in a white Cadillac SUV and was later found dead after crashing near Leisureville Boulevard.
  • Officers attempted a high-risk stop, pursued the vehicle, and SWAT breached the crashed SUV where Dawla was discovered with a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound.
  • Police say the meeting where the shootings occurred was arranged to discuss returning funds tied to a 2024 scheme for which Dawla’s brother, Sadman, was convicted of grand theft exceeding $100,000 and accused of defrauding victims of more than $5 million.
  • Investigators previously alleged Nesar’s involvement but lacked probable cause to arrest him, and they now urge tips to Detective Gleicher at 561-742-6163 or GleicherJ@bbfl.us as the inquiry continues with multi-agency support and precautionary lockdowns reported in the area.
