Boygenius Makes SNL Debut, Performs 'Not Strong Enough' and 'Satanist'

Fresh off Six Grammy Nominations, Band Pays Tribute to The Beatles with Performance Attire

Boygenius, a supergroup consisting of Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker, made their debut on Saturday Night Live (SNL) on November 11, 2023, performing 'Not Strong Enough' and 'Satanist' from their debut album, 'The Record'.
The band's SNL performance came shortly after they received six Grammy nominations, including nods for both album and record of the year for 'The Record' and 'Not Strong Enough', respectively.
During their SNL performance, Boygenius paid tribute to The Beatles and Nirvana by wearing black and white suits, similar to those worn by The Beatles and featured on their Rolling Stone magazine cover in honor of Nirvana.
The band also recently released a new four-track EP, 'The Rest', just weeks before their SNL performance.
In a notable moment during the performance, Julien Baker threw her guitar offstage at the end of 'Satanist', reminiscent of Phoebe Bridgers' infamous guitar smashing during her solo SNL performance in 2021.
