Overview

• The child was reported missing around 5:05 p.m. after becoming separated from his parents at Hersheypark.
• While staff searched, he entered a secured monorail area that was closed and not operating, remaining at the station for about 20 minutes.
• Video captured him briefly walking along the elevated track as guests called out directions.
• A bystander climbed from a nearby rooftop onto the track, lifted the boy to safety, and staff reunited him with his family by about 5:28 p.m.
• Hersheypark said the station was chained and the turnstile barricaded, thanked guests for their vigilance, and reported the child was unharmed.
