• The child, identified as Matías, was swept by a strong runoff in colonia Cañadas around 1:30 p.m. Friday near Sierra Madre Occidental and Cerro de la Memoria.
• Family members and neighbors pulled him from beneath a vehicle and drove him to a nearby IMSS clinic, where medical staff confirmed his death.
• Protección Civil and the Culiacán municipal police cordoned the area and took statements from relatives and witnesses as they document the incident.
