Boy, 15, Electrocuted Near Modi Event Venue in Kurnool as Police Launch Probe

The death occurred during the prime minister’s visit for project inaugurations worth about Rs 13,430 crore in Andhra Pradesh.

Police said the electrocution happened in a parking area designated for the public meeting in Kurnool district.
DSP Babu Prasad said the boy was lifting an iron pipe intended as a flagpole when it touched a live high-tension line.
The 15-year-old, a resident of Munagalapadu village, was declared dead at the scene.
Kurnool Police have registered a case and opened an investigation into the incident.
On the same day, the prime minister launched projects totaling about Rs 13,430 crore, including a Rs 2,880-plus crore transmission upgrade featuring a 765 kV double-circuit line.
