- Confirmed closures today include Aldi, Home Bargains, John Lewis, M&S, Lidl, Next, Poundland, The Range, B&Q, Homebase, Wickes and most Iceland stores.
- Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and many Co-op branches are trading on reduced hours, commonly around 9am–6pm for larger stores and longer for convenience formats.
- Waitrose is mostly shut, with a small number of branches fulfilling Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat orders only.
- Opening times vary by region and format, with notable exceptions such as Lidl sites inside the M25 and in Scotland operating limited hours while many other areas remain closed.
- Primark is open with store-by-store reduced hours, and several retailers have deferred in‑store sales to 27 December while running online deals today, including Next and The Range.
