Overview

• Troopers received calls around 4:26 a.m. Saturday about a crash on I-93 northbound just before Exit 23 in New Hampton, New Hampshire.
• The driver was identified as 21-year-old Anilton Resende Barros of Brockton, Massachusetts, who sustained minor injuries and was evaluated at a local hospital.
• Responding troopers found a 2012 yellow Hino 258/268 box truck lodged in trees in the median between opposing lanes.
• Preliminary findings indicate the truck went into the median, crossed the crossover, struck an embankment, and came to rest in the woods separating northbound and southbound traffic.
• Left travel lanes in both directions were closed for roughly four hours for cleanup and reopened just before 9 a.m., as the investigation continues with police seeking tips to Trooper John Zavala at [email protected].
